Continuous Growth Toward Heaven

November 27, 2010
Saturday of the 34th Week of Ordinary Time
Advent begins tomorrow.

Alleluia, alleluia.  Be vigilant at all times and pray that you may have the strength to stand before the Son of Man.  Alleluia, alleluia.

We’re either Growing or Decaying;
choose Growth
- any attempt to foster the status quo
is a futile effort in delaying decay

Today's Readings:
Rev 22:1-7
Ps 95:1-7b
Luke 21:34-36

In today's Gospel, Jesus exhorts His disciples for His imminent Passion, death and Resurrection: "Be vigilant at all times and pray that you have the strength to escape the tribulations that are imminent and to stand before the Son of Man."

Transcending Mediocrity is a journey to prepare ourselves for the imminent tribulations so that we are prepared to "stand before the Son of Man."  This means continuous growth toward full communion with God and a reminder of hope and celebration of Jesus' birthday.
