Obedience Begins Today

December 4, 2010
Saturday of the 1st week in Advent

Alleluia, alleluia.  The Lord is our Judge, our Lawgiver, our King; he it is who will save us.  Alleluia, alleluia.

God Connects the Dots…
…it’s up to us to grow our own Dots.

Today's Readings:
Isaiah 30:19-21,23-26
Ps 147:1-6

In today's Gospel, there seems to be an urgency, as Jesus sent out his Twelve with instructions, “Go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. As you go, make this proclamation: ‘The Kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, drive out demons.  Without cost you have received; without cost you are to give.” Jesus' urgency should be with us today, in all that we do.

Transcending Mediocrity is about doing the right things at the right time.  We are to focus on our spiritual growth, so that when God calls us to proclaim "The Kingdom of heaven is at hand;" we willingly obey.
